Your service area is used only for online bookings. It decides where you can move as well as what travel time charges will be.
Click Profiles in the main menu and open Company Profile.
Scroll down and click Local Service Area to open a popup.
Your service area is a list of all the cities that you do moves in or to. It is organized into two parts; your Extended Zone and your Home Zone. Your Extended Zone is the farthest limits of where you will carry a customer from your Home City. Your Home Zone is a smaller local area where you offer your services with a fixed amount of travel time for the crew to come to and go from the work-sites, typically an hour. You can switch between the settings for your Home and Extended Zones by clicking the buttons at the top.
First, make sure you are on Home Zone. There are two ways to add cities to your service area; the city list on the left and the circle selection at the top.
If you click the arrows on the left, you can see regions in each province and if you expand those, you can see the individual cities within them. Select the cities for your Home Zone where you will charge a fixed travel time. Typically this is 1 hour, but you can change your default travel time later.
Next, switch to Extended Region at the top of the popup and choose everywhere that you are willing to travel to for an extra charge.
You can also select everything within a certain distance of a city using the Distance and Home City fields above the map.
Click Save to close the popup when you are finished.
The final step is to set your Default Travel Time. Click Settings at the bottom of the main menu, then click Contract.
Open the Money section and set a Default Travel Time at the bottom.
